In the middle of the Covid pandemic lockdowns RPL carried out commercial due diligence on Plantexpand for Foresight Group their lending bank.
Plantexpand provide servicing and maintenance services for vehicle fleets and specialist plant and equipment owned by utility companies and fleet operators, largely in the South East. Our most important market question involved assessing how the total spent on maintenance and servicing in Plantexpand’s sector is split between in-house operations, equipment OEMs and subcontractors such as Plantexpand. This involved a significant amount of modelling, covering not only the company’s core South East region, but also the rest of the country and adjacent customer segments.
As part of our customer interviewing exercise we were able to identify one or two new opportunities previously unknown to management.
